Alzada Abeyta, (Eddie Abeyta) was born in Oakland, Ca
Raised by Richard & Laverne Abeyta along with 3 brothers
and no sisters. The Abeyta's moved 3 times and were very
proud members of a Catholic parish called St. Elizabeth.
As the boys grew older they all had their moments in the sun and
rainy days as well. Then tragically they lost one of
the brothers - Kenny Abeyta - He is missed beyond words.
After some time all the brothers moved, Ron, the oldest moved
to So.Cal, then eventually he moved to Arizona. Alzada moved
to Sacramento, then Folsom. Bob the youngest lives up north
near Paradise Valley. The boys were raised in Oakland and
grew up fast as most do in Oakland. The music of the Bay Area
was influenced by bay area bands and yet the urban flavor took
on its own musical culture and the music of Oakland was a real
melting pot of Rock, Soul, R & B and everything in between.
Some of AA's music reflects this melting pot. But most of all
it is the sound of less scholastic theory and more soul.
